The elephant is about to get hit
We are reading the book called The One And Only Ivan. I decided to research more about claw-sticks.

Claw-sticks are mostly used to train circus animals. The claw-stick is a symbol of torture. Claw sticks are more like weapons than tools. People use claw sticks to train different kind animals.

    Thanks for telling me what that is I had to think when I saw that word when I was reading! I have been to the circus and seen it once but I never herd the name of what it was called before I read this post. You made me think again about what it is when I saw the picture!
