We just read some pages out of the book The One And Only Ivan.
One quote that I found was when Ruby asked, "Do you think, that I'll die in this domain someday like Aunt Stella?" It was on page 165, paragraph 2. I picked it because Ruby misses her Aunt Stella.
The next quote that I found was on page 152, paragraph 3. It was when Mack said, "I'm not gonna hurt her." When Julia said, "No!" I picked that one because it surprised me, because I really thought Mack was going to hurt Ruby.

I would not like it if I was going to get hurt just because I did not want to do it. I don't like it when I am alone because there is no one there to help you.
ReplyDeleteWhy. Just why do people have to be mean to animals like that hitting them with claw-sticks. Even though Mack didn't hurt Ruby.
