I just read some pages out of The One And Only Ivan and here are some of my connections.
My text to self connection is when Ruby said, "Ivan, tell me another joke, please!" That reminded me of when my sister said to tell her another funny joke.
My next connection is a text to world connection. This was when Julia said, "Look at the way she is breathing." It reminded me of when I saw that an animal was not breathing well on a T.V show my sister was watching.

I asked Siri to tell me another joke. By the way ask Siri tell me a joke it will be funny.
ReplyDeleteWhen you said Ivan was telling Ruby a joke, it reminded me of how I have a Back to School book with jokes that I like to read. When you said Stella wasn't breathing well, it reminded me of when I wasn't breathing well because of the smoke from my mom's oven.
